2. Locate the 68020 chip and AMU chip on
the lower right front of the M acintosh II
motherboard. The 68020 chip is marked
MC68020. The AMU is a black chip with
multiple markings.

3. From the side of the CPU, gently slide the
inner tool over the MC68020 chip. Be sure
that the teeth of the inner tool are between
the CPU and the socket and NOT between
the socket and the motherboard.
