7.7. Input mode setting (05. menu item)
Function The instrument has four measuring modes:
•
Pt100, Pt500, Pt1000 temperature
•
potentiometer %
•
potentiometer scaled
•
resistance
[Factory default: temperature measurement.]
Sequence of operation 1. Enter the menu with the supervisor code.
The way the code should be type in can be found in
Chapter
7.1. Typing the code in . You see on the display:


2. Keep stepping by pressing the ▲ button as long as you
see this menu item:


3. Enter the menu item by pressing the ENTER button.
4. You see the mnemonic:

(depends on the type) on the display. The mnemonic is
blinking indicating that it can be modify.
5. Pressing the ▲ button you select from the input modes.

= Pt100 (Pt1000) temperature measurement,
measured in °C, with 0.1°C resolution [Factory default].
•


= Po tentiometer Per cent: Potentiometer
measurement, measured in percent between 0-100%, with
1% resolution. or
•


= Po tentiometer Sca led: Potentiometer
measurement with scaled output, with selectable number of
decimals (between 1-4).
•


= Resistance measurement in ohm with two decimal
resolution.
Note: before selecting potentiometer modes (

or

) it should calibrate the potentiometer.
The calibrating means it should be define the start and the
end points of the potentiometer’s wiper. When the
potentiometer is not calibrated you will see


Potentiometer Calibration = potentiometer calibration error)
message on the display. The message is blinking.
