Humidifying Filter Unit
Soak in baking soda, citric acid or lemon juice
About every 1 week
Clean by soaking in lukewarm
(about 40ºC or less) or room
temperature water.
About every 1 month or when smell, dirt, or
water scales (white and brown) become an
issue
If water scales are not removed and the unit continues to be operated,
reduced humidifying capacity and water leakage may result.

If you are concerned about odour during humidifying filter drying operation or when the water supply lamp is lit, set humidifying
filter drying operation to “OFF” or the airflow rate limit when the water supply lamp is lit to “Fan stop”.

Maintenance with baking soda method
•
Soak the parts for about 30 to 60 minutes in lukewarm (about 40ºC or
less) or room temperature water mixed with baking soda.
After soaking, rinse with water.
Do not detach
the frame.
Usage quantity:
2 tablespoons of baking soda in 1L of water
Maintenance with citric acid method or lemon juice
Soak in lukewarm (about 40ºC or less) or room temperature water mixed with citric acid or lemon juice for about
2 hours. After soaking, rinse with water.
• If dirt buildup is an issue, extend the soaking time.
Usage quantities for citric acid:
approx. 20g of citric acid (2 tablespoons) in 3L of water
• Citric acid may be purchased at a pharmacy, drug store or super market.
Usage quantities for lemon juice:
1/4 cup of lemon juice per 3 cups of water
• Bottled 100% lemon juice can be used. Use only 100% lemon juice with no pulp (strain juice if necessary).
• If you squeeze a lemon, make sure there are no pieces of peel or pips.
Maintenance with neutral detergent method
•
Soak the parts for about 30 to 60 minutes in lukewarm (about 40ºC or less) or room temperature water mixed with
kitchen-use neutral detergent.
After soaking, rinse with water.
Usage quantity:
The quantity indicated in the directions on the detergent
Soak in lukewarm (about 40ºC or less) or room temperature water for an additional 1 hour.
• When areas with dirt become an issue, clean by scrubbing gently with a soft sponge or cotton bud.
Do not detach
the frame.
