The button is used during engine
inspection, repair, and maintenance.
The installed location may defer
depending on the vehicle type.
The engine warning lamp flickers while
the button is pressed with the engine
turned off, the battery main switch
positioned in the
“
ON
”
position, and
the key turned to the
“
ON
”
position.
The number of indcation blinks inform
you the faults of the vehicle.

Turning the knob clockwise after cold
starting of the engine will increase
idling speed and thus facilitate quick
normalization of the engine coolant
temperature.
Always drive with the knob turned back
home.

Engine Diagnostic (Self-Diagnosis) Idle Speed Actuator
CAUTION
The warning alarm sounds when the
engine is turned off without applying
the parking brake upon parking of
the vehicle. Always apply the parking
brake when parking the vehicle to
prevent the vehicle from moving.

Always operate the engine speed
actuator while the engine is running
and adjust it in the idle state.
