Air cleaner must be periodically
checked and changed.
Check if the indicator located at the air
cleaner pipe is red, clean or change.
Then make sure that the indicator turns
to brown.
Inspection of the air cleaner indicator
A yellow indicator signal indicates that
the element is in normal condition,
while a red indicator signal indicates
that the element has been polluted.
Polluted element should be removed
and cleaned or replaced to maintain
normal condition of the device.
Returning the indicator
After cleaning or replacing the element,
press the push button on the upper
section of the indicator to return the
signal to its original position(Yellow).
Replacing the element
a. Remove the dust cover fixing wing
nut and washer from the element
housing.
b. Remove the air cleaner element by
removing the element fixing nut.
c. Balance the element well during
mounting, and after it
’
s mounted
tighten the nut.
d. Assemble the dust cover plate of the
element housing.

If the air cleaner condition is unfit, it
will have a negative effect on the
vehicle.
REFERENCE
Air cleaner element cleaner and
change period
Clean : Every 12,000km or 300
hours
Change : After cleaning about 3
times

Always use genuine parts for the
element, and replace with new
element after cleaning about 3 times.
