If the engine turns off due to fuel
shortage, the engine may not startup
again just by refueling. This could be
because of air inside the system and
the air should be released as following.
a. Loosen the plug(2) on the fuel filter.
b. Press priming pump(1) several times
untill fuels come out without
bubbles.
c. Securely tighten the plug(2) if fuels
come out of the plug with out bubbles.
high pressured fuel created from the
high pressure pump is stored in the
common rail, and the timing of the
initial injection period and fuel amount
is calculated according to the data
programmed in the ECU (Electrical
Control Unit). The ECU then operates
the injector
’
s solenoid valve, which is
installed in each engine cylinder to
inject the fuel.
