5.2 Prepare the instrument
Select the tray
The following table describes the suitable tray and accessory for each capturing
method.
CAUTION
Handle the sample trays and NP lens with care to avoid dropping
them.
NOTICE
If samples are dropped inside the instrument, clean it immediately.

Place the tray in the instrument
To place the sample on the tray and place the tray in the correct tray position in the
Amersham ImageQuant 800, follow the steps below.
Step Action
1 Select a tray and accessories suitable for the capturing method. See Select
the tray, on page 74 .
2 Place the sample(s) on the tray or on the
White Insert.
3 Open the instrument door.
