Do not open individual Patches until needed. Doing so may cause the adhesive to be less
effective.
If you need to dispose of the Sensor or the Hub, please return the device back to Cyberonics.

Setting Up Your ProGuardian System
This section instructs you on how to set up the Hub and Sensor so you can begin using your system. The
ProGuardian System also works with an optional ProGuardian App thatcan be activated during initial
setupor configured at a later time (see Section 12, “The ProGuardian App”for more details).
To begin using your ProGuardian System,set up the following parts of the system:
Hub
Hub Software
Sensor and Patch
7.1.
Hub Setup
The Hub is where you enter and receive information. When set up with an active Sensor, it provides
anotification when a potential seizure is detected. Confirmed seizures are stored in the seizurelog.
Follow the steps below to set up the Hub. The Hub must be placed at least 5 feet (1.5 meters) away
from the sensor wearer’s support system (such as a bed or couch) when he or she is sleeping (Figure 1).
