3-step Rice Taste Control Using Pressure
※ The 3 stages of pressure taste control are enabled only in PLAIN mode.
Press the MENU button to select the mode for the desired taste (STICKY → MEDIUM → REGULAR). It is
normal that the steam is discharged during cooking after selecting a rice taste; the phenomenon is the
result of the inner pot’s adjusting the inner pressure. (Choose a taste according to your preference.)
※ When cooking is in progress, you cannot use the taste selection function.

Sticky Rice
The result is sticky soft rice that is made
under a high pressure.
Turned on in the initial state.

Medium Rice
The result is rice that is both sticky and well-
cooked.

Regular Rice
The result is normal well-cooked rice as
if cooked in a regular rice cooker than a
pressure cooker.

The Cuchen electric pressure cooker may produce slightly burnt rice with a pale brown color on the bottom.
This phenomenon is called "melanoising," which gives rice savory fragrance and flavor. Note that, for preset
cooking when the rice has been sitting on the bottom for a while, fine starch that settles on the bottom of the
inner pot may intensify melanoising than for normal cooking.
