“Configure | Network”
is used to configure device network interfaces and to se
-
lect mode of interaction with local network connected to “internal” network interface.

The given submenu is used to configure “external” network interface. It is assumed
that device will be connected to backbone data network over which TDM/IP-packets
will be transmitted exactly via “external” network interface.
«IP address»
– IP-address assigned to device “external” network interface;
«Mask»
– network mask;
«Gateway»
– default gateway;
«MAC address»
– MAC-address of network interface (for viewing only);
Interaction
Mode of interaction with local area network connected to “external” network inter

face.
«Bridge»
– device will function in Ethernet-bridge mode;
«Router»
–device will function in IP-router mode;
«Off»
– “internal” network interface will be switched off;
It is not recommended to leave “internal” network interface disconnected from net
-
work equipment (or connected to unserviceable network equipment) when interaction
with local area network is active (during “Router” or “Bridge” mode), since device will
try to establish connection constantly searching for Ethernet-port modes of operation,
which can result in delay and loss of network packets being processed.
