LPT-M - Operation Manual
Rev. B | 2022.03
7.3.4 Span - Requires Override
During the Span calibration, readings are taken and from the results sensitivity
is calculated and compared to the original sensitivity of the sensor at the time
of installation. If this sensitivity is below the override range, but above the fault
limit, the display will indicate that an override is required. To override the value
use the UP ARROW to select the desired value. To keep the original value, use
the DOWN ARROW. Press ENTER to Exit.
7.3.5 Fault Reading
If the LPT-M is giving a fault reading then either the LPT-M has failed a previous
calibration and cannot calculate the expected voltage, or there has been a
fault that the LPT-M cannot correct for. In either case all that can be done is to
attempt a complete calibration from the beginning (Step 1) and determine if
this corrects the fault. If a calibration does not resolve the fault then the LPT-M
may need a new sensor. If that does not correct the fault, please contact our
Technical Service Department at [email protected].
7.3.6 Calibration Failure
If the calibration fails while calibrating one of the sensors, you can try to
calibrate it again, but more than likely the sensor needs replacing. Over time, a
sensor has degrades and when it has gone beyond an acceptable level, it has
reached its end of life and will no longer pass a calibration.
