9. Blade Assembly.

WARNING
: To reduce the risk of serious bodily
injury,
DO NOT use power tools to assemble the
blades. If overtightened, blades may crack and
break.
Locate 15 blade attachment screws, and
15 decorative nuts in one of the hardware packs.
Place underside of blade plate on TOPSIDE of
blade and align holes as shown.

Be sure to note label indicating THIS
SIDE UP on blade plates
and refer to drawing at
right as needed for this section.
Insert 3 decorative nuts into holes in blade from
UNDERSIDE
of blade (
i.e., the side that will face the
floor
), making sure to
completely insert
each
decorative nut so that the blade plate can be
attached correctly. Insert 3 blade attachment
screws from
TOPSIDE
of blade with fingers first
and then tighten screws securely with a Phillips
screwdriver. Repeat procedure for remaining
blades.
Remove blade plate screws/washers from
underside of motor and set aside (
save blade
plate screw/washers to secure blade plate
). Turn
blade plate so label indicating THIS SIDE UP
faces ceiling. Align blade plate holes with motor
screw holes and attach blade plate with blade
plate screws/washers. [
NOTE
:
Use slot located
on light kit fitter for easy access to motor
screw holes with screwdriver.]
Before securing screws completely, repeat this
procedure with remaining blade plates. Once all
blade plates have been attached, secure all
screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
Important
: Tighten blade plate screws twice a
year.
