Getting started
For all installation work on the coin recycler please observe the following
safety instructions:
• The coin recycler is not suited for outdoor use, but for indoor use under dry
conditions only.
• Do only use an appropriate power supply unit and power cable providing
protection against electromagnet interferences
(cf. Chap. "9.4 Power supply require-
. Connect the power cable only to a suitable grounded outlet.
• Do not connect the equipment if the connecting cables show any damages
or material fatigue (e.g. porous cables).
• Pull out the system’s mains plug when integrating the coin recycler into
automated retail checkout systems or ATMs (automated teller machines).
6.1
Selecting an installation site
When selecting an installation site the following issues should be taken into account
(cf. Chap. "9.1 Device data", p. 41)
• Space required for operation and maintenance
(cf. Chap. "9.5 Installation & service dimen-

Opening CLS lid
–
Access to on-off switch and interfaces
–
ADA-compliant (forward) reach ranges
–
When installing the CLS in a cabinet or similar, enough space around and particularly
under the coin return tray
• Horizontal installation/mounting position on a plane surface
• Noise emission, ambient temperature and air humidity

Unpacking the CLS

Unpack the CLS and keep the original packaging safe for possible later use.

Remove the transport protection from the payout unit
(cf. Chap. "7.4 Opening and closing the coin payout
and keep it safe for possible later use with the other packaging.

Check the CLS for damages (in transit) and advise your partner, if necessary.
6.3
Fixing the CLS against theft and unwanted shifting
We recommend you fix the CLS to its
installation location. For this, in the
front underside of the CLS there are two
threaded inserts [
] allowing the
CLS to be fastened onto the base. Using
the two cutouts [

] on the bottom
back side you are able to hook the CLS
in suspension brackets.
