Appendix B: Installing SonoLab 8 and Required Support Software

These instructions are only for installing SonoLab 8 and other required software packages on a new computer. Do not use these instructions
for an incremental upgrade from one version of SonoLab 8 to a newer version. For an upgrade, simply uninstall the existing version of
SonoLab 8 using the Windows Uninstall Program control panel. Then install the new version by double-clicking its “setup” file.

1.

Install 210063 SQL Server Express, Covaris Part Number 210063
Double-click the “SQLServer2016-SSEI-Expr.exe” file to start the installation. Confirm you wish to install, if prompted. The Express
Edition window will display.

Click “Basic” to install the default version of SQL Server. Accept the license terms when prompted.

Accept license agreement.
