Click on ‘Service’. The degas pump will turn off and the transducer assembly will rise out of the bath.

Empty the water bath and place it back in the instrument empty.

Click ‘Home’. The transducer will lower into the bath and the degas pump will come on, purging the lines to the degas pump.

Click ‘Service’ when no additional water is coming from the lines, or when the pump shuts off. The transducer will raise out of the
bath.

Turn on the CH05 chiller, leaving it in stand-by mode. Allow it to run until no more water is pumped into the bath from the WCS.

Empty the bath.

Rinse it with clean DI water and dry it with a soft, lint free cloth.
If instrument is being placed in indefinite storage, remove the particulate filter from the WCS. Refer to instructions in the WCS
manual as necessary.
Note
: Since the particulate filter will remain wet internally even after draining, over a period of a couple weeks or more, some biological
growth may take place, potentially leading to filter blockage and reducing filter life.

Close SonoLab
Exit SonoLab by clicking on the
X
in the upper right corner. The following message is displayed.
Click “
No
” to cancel this request or take no action and SonoLab will close following a 20 second countdown. Click “
Yes
” to close the
application immediately. A message asking if the transducer should be moved to the Service Position is displayed. Clicking “Yes”
causes the transducer to be raised out of the water bath; clicking, “No” leaves the transducer where it is, followed by the SonoLab
software closing.
7.7.3
Turn System OFF
To shut down the laptop, select Shutdown from the START menu on the Windows screen and select the option SHUTDOWN. Then
the computer will power down. Power down the instrument using the switch located near the power entry module of the
instrument, at the rear of the right side.
CAUTION:
Leaving water in the water bath or degassing lines for an extended time may promote algal growth in the tank
and lines, this growth can interfere with water quality and sample processing.
