The rechargeable battery is intended for the mains-independent power supply of electromotive
adjustment units in movable furniture components.
The battery is NOT suitable
• In an environment where flammable or explosive gases or vapours are likely to occur.
• In a humid environment or outdoors.
• In the vicinity of open fire or other heat sources (e.g. heating, oven).
• As a voltage source for children‘s toys.
• In the immediate vicinity of small children.
For your safety
Make sure that the plug connections, especially the battery connection cable, are accessible in or-
der to stop the system in an emergency. Avoid mechanical stress on the connecting cable and the
connecting lines. Regular visual checks of the cables at shorter intervals are necessary, especially
after any mechanical stress. If the power cord or connecting cables are damaged, they must be
replaced to avoid hazards. Work on the power cord may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
The battery is intended for the German market and complies with the law applicable in Germany
in implementation of the relevant EC directives.
Deep discharge protection
When the battery voltage reaches the cut-off threshold, the actuator system is completely de-
activated. The deep discharge protection protects the battery from any damage that may result
from failure to observe the acoustic discharge warning. After connection to the power supply, full
function is restored.
Care instructions
• The batteries used are maintenance-free.
• Always keep the battery clean and dry. Do not short-circuit the battery. Store it in such a way
that the connections cannot be short-circuited by each other or by metallic objects.
• Do not subject the battery to mechanical shocks.
• Do not use any charger other than the recommended charger, which is intended precisely for this
application.
• After longer storage periods, it may be necessary to charge or discharge the batteries several
times in order to restore performance.
• As with any battery system, the service life of the battery is limited and is par-ticularly de-
pendent on battery care. For an optimum service life, please observe the acoustic charge level
indicator and recharge the batteries after a longer storage period (max. 6 months should not be
exceeded).
• Do not bring the battery into contact with organic solvents such as thinners, alcohol and anti-
rust agents or surface-active agents such as chemical deter-gents.
• The optimum performance of the battery is achieved when the product is used under normal
room temperature conditions (10 to 25 °C).
• Do not immerse the battery in water and do not store it in a damp place, but in a dry and cool
place. The recommended temperature range for long-term storage is b10 and +30 °C at
a relative humidity of 50%.
• Keep the battery away from rain and moisture. Any water seeping into a charger increases the
risk of electric shock.
