AP Maintenance

This chapter describes how to perform maintenance on the AP and explains the tools to be used.  Here,

“maintenance” means the following: log file collection, firmware upgrades, and saving and restoring the

software settings.

Maintenance Tool

Two different maintenance tools are available for the AP: CF card and the FTP.  This section describes

how to use both tools.

How to Use CF card

The AP uses CF card for the following three purposes

-

Save and update (restore) the settings file for the access point

-

Log file collection

-

Storing firmware

When inserting the CF card into the CF1 or CF2 slot, make sure in advance that the AP power supply is

off and plug the CF card as illustrated below.

When you have plugged the CF card into the CF1 slot, you can attach the CF card clip to prevent the CF

card from being detached.  Before unplugging the CF card, make sure that the AP power supply is off.
