1. Before Using the Product

FX-DS540-AP, FX-DS540-APP

Easy configuration and management using a WWW browser. Assorted maintenance methods are

available to different systems and applications, including the terminal, FTP commands, TELNET,

and CF card.

IP tunneling feature integrated (*1), enabling communication even at a roaming destination beyond

the router without making any changes to network configuration.

SNMP agent feature integrated (*1), enabling network management using SNMP supported

network management software (such as CONTEC SNMPc). MIBII and private MIB are supported.

Firmware storage CF card (32 MB) bundled, allowing log and configuration information to be saved

to and restored from and firmware to be updated collectively.

*1 IP tunneling will be supported in the near future.

The latest versions of software including firmware can be downloaded from the CONTEC’s web site

(http://www.contec.co.jp/eu/)
