Specific features

The display lets you choose between [bEEP on] or [bEEP OFF]. Decide whether
or not the beeper should sound each time the keyboard is touched. Press

The display shows [ScAn OFF] or [ScAn on]. Decide whether the display should
alternate between the selected modes with an interval of 4 s or not and press
CAL
. Pressing
in this mode will print all values of the selected chan-
nels.

The display shows e.g. [br=2400]. Pre-set the desired baud-rate (150...4800
b/s) and press
CAL

5.
The display shows e.g. [rS=120]. Select the desired time interval (0...9999 s)
between the transmitted data (RS232). Pre-set to zero if no automatic printing
is required. Press

6.
The display shows e.g. [Id.no=5]. Select the desired identification number
(0...999) for your meter and press
CAL
. The instrument can be identified by
e.g. a computer when a specific number is allocated to it. Pre-set to zero to
ignore this number.

The display shows [Code on], [Code OFF] or [Code CAL]. Decide whether all
future access to the instrument should be by entering a code (on) or not (off).

. Select [Code CAL] to enter your personal code to avoid undesired
access to the instrument. The display shows [E=-----] while [=] is blinking.

mV measurement
1.
Select the mV range by pressing

. The display will immediately show the
measured mV according to the previous calibration. Should you want to recali-
brate, press

. Immerse the electrodes in a standard solution of known potential.

The display shows e.g. [MV=476.3]. Adjust to the proper value and press
CAL
again or press
RES
to reset the absolute readings.
4.
After rinsing the electrodes with distilled water, immerse them in the solution
to be measured and read the display.
5.
Rinse the electrodes always with distilled water after use and store them in a
3...4 M KCl solution.
