Configuration
Figure 4–2 illustrates the I/O module and Figure 4–3 correlates each I/O module bay to a
specific SCSI bus number. The Model 2100 enclosure supports only two I/O
modules—those for SCSI bus 1 and SCSI bus 2 (see Figure 4–3,

), and the Model
2200 enclosure supports all six I/O modules, that interface with a storage enclosure using
a VHDCI SCSI bus cable.

NOTE:
In Model 2100 enclosures, a blank panel covers the four vacant I/O module bays.
Status Indicators
No status indicators exist on the I/O module. The EMU and array controllers monitor the
status of each I/O module.
