System Consoles

System console programs are located in a flash ROM (read-only
memory) on the system board.  From the SRM console interface, you
can set up and boot the operating system, display the system
configuration, and perform other tasks.  From AlphaBIOS you can run
AlphaBIOS-compliant utilities.

In this example, the SRM set command is used to specify boot devices.  The
system will try to boot from dkb0 and if unsuccessful, will boot from dka0.
