Installation Procedures
Device drivers may be installed in a Windows NT server using:

The Windows NT SSD Setup program installation method
■
The standard Windows NT device driver installation methods
Although both are outlined in this chapter, we recommend the Windows NT
SSD Setup program installation method.
Windows NT SSD Setup Program
Installation Method
The Windows NT SSD Setup program installation method refers to device
drivers that can be installed via the Setup program located on the Windows
NT Support Software Diskettes. The Setup program provides a unified
approach to device driver installation under Windows NT. The program
identifies hardware components installed in the machine and suggests device
drivers needing installation.
Use the following steps to run the Windows NT SSD Setup program:
1. Start Windows NT 3.51 or NT 4.0 and log into an account with
administrative privileges.
2. Insert the Windows NT Support Software Diskettes, one at a time, into
the diskette drive.
