NOTE
: No matter what security option is selected in the Highest
Security field, the system will be set to Unclassified for the lowest security.
Selected SPECATs:
This field is used to define the security category
associated with a SPECAT and to determine if a defined SPECAT is to be
available for selection when configuring a channel. To initially define or
update an already defined SPECAT, click in the check box adjacent to the
SPECAT so that a “
√
” appears in the box and the SPECAT is highlighted.

Select the Update button to display the Update Specat Security window.
This Update Specat Security window is used to define/update the
security classification associated with a SPECAT. The security
classifications that can be selected depend on the security selected in the
Highest and Lowest Security fields. Double click a security classification
to save modified system parameters and return to the Security window.
Select the Cancel button to exit this window without saving changes.
The selected security value will be displayed adjacent to the SPECAT.

Select the Select All button to select/deselect all SPECATs.
Any SPECAT that is defined (has an associated security value) but does not
have a “
√
” will not be available for selection when configuring a channel (see
“Channel Configuration”). If a SPECAT is defined and then the system
security value, either High or Low, is changed in a way that creates a conflict
with a set SPECAT value, the security value associated with the SPECT will
be removed and the SPECAT will become undefined.
Ignore SPECAT…:
Select this field to make the CP-145(L) ignore SPECAT
values within JANAP messages that are not defined in the Selected
SPECATs field below.
The changes selected in this window are not permanently saved to the
appropriate configuration file until Install is selected from the File Menu.
