DCL MTA STARTUP/SHUTDOWN

4.2.1

DCL MTA Startup

Under normal circumstances the CP-145 will start and stop the DCL MTA.

However, if it becomes necessary to manually startup or shutdown the DCL

MTA, then complete the following steps:
1.

From the desktop, select

Start >>Settings >>Control Panel

>>Administrative Tools >>Services

. The Services window is displayed.

Select each of the following services (one at a time) from the list of

services and select the

Start

button:



DC Directory Server



DC IMS Server



DC IMS Monitor Daemon

, if not already started after starting the

IMS Server



DC IMS Routing Daemon

, if not already started after starting the

IMS Server



DC IMS P1 File Gateway

4.2.2

DCL MTA Shutdown

To stop the DCL MTA, complete the following steps:
1.

From the desktop, select

Start >>Settings >>Control Panel

>>Administrative Tools >>Services

. The Services window is displayed.

Select each of the following services (one at a time) from the list of

services, select the

Stop

button, and then select the

Yes

button in the

resulting confirmation window:



DC Directory Server



DC IMS Server



DC IMS Routing Daemon



DC IMS Monitor Daemon

, if not already stopped after stopping the
