CP-145 Gateway Startup

Log onto the system as an account with local administrator privileges

Select

Start>>ACP-145 Local Gateway (or ACP-145 Foreign

Gateway)>>Start CP-145

. The ACP-145 Start Monitor will be displayed

and monitor the start-up process.

When selectable, select the

User Interface

button on the ACP-145 Start

Monitor. The ACP-145 User Interface is displayed.

3.2.2.2

Configuring The CP-145 Gateway

Once the ACP-145 and the ACP-145 user interface have been successfully

started, online configuration can occur. Online configuration consists of a

series of steps that need to be performed only once at initial startup. To

configure the ACP-145 Gateway, perform the following steps:

3.2.2.2.1

Channel Initialization

Each of the channels configured in “Define Channel Configuration

Parameters” above must be set-up (or initialized). To do this, perform the

following steps:

From the ACP-145 Gateway User Interface, select the

Channels

button

in the Tool Bar. The Channel Operations dialog is displayed.

In the Channel Number field, enter one of the channel numbers

configured in “Define Channel Configuration Parameters” above.

Once the channel number has been entered, select the

Setup

button in

the Channel Operations dialog. The Channel Setup dialog is displayed.

Select the desired channel type via the respective tab in the Channel

Setup dialog. For the X.400 channel (CP-145(F)), use the Email channel

type; for the XML channel, use the XML channel type, for a Mode I

Legacy channel (CP-145(L)), use the Mode I AID type. Once a channel

type has been determined, configure the associated data vales in

accordance with the procedures given in “Set up Channel Parameters” in

Chapter 3 of the

ACP-145 Gateway User’s Guide

Once the desired options have been selected/entered, select the

button in the Channel Setup dialog. A Response dialog is displayed

indicating the current parameters for the channel.

Select the

Close

button in the Response dialog. The Response dialog is

closed, and the Channel Operations dialog is displayed.

Verify that the desired channel number still appears in the Channel

Number field and select the

Open Channel

button in the Channel

Operations dialog. A Response dialog is displayed indicating the current

parameters for the channel. The Channel Status parameter should

indicate Open.
