Planning information
The VoIP cards G8-IAX and G3-IAX allow integration of various VoIP standards via an IAX-capable VoIP
server. Therefore, the VoIP cards provide a flexible VoIP interface for IAX connections – e.g. to
G8-VOIPSERV.

Features
Integration of VoIP standards via G8-VOIPSERV or an IAX-capable VoIP server
Up to 8 VoIP channels using the IAX2 protocol per card are available (depending on card version)
Telephony functions (similar to e.g. G8-TEL or G8-S0):
Integration of VoIP phones into Intercom Systems
Indication of Intercom calling numbers (and “display text EE 811”) at the VoIP phones
enables ingoing and outgoing conversations to VoIP phones
transfers call requests to predefined call numbers
Audio streaming functions:
Audio mixing for speech recording on a VoIP server
Feed-in of e.g. music, news or stock exchange channels (4T, 6T)
Dynamic registration in case of a changing public IP address possible
Data and speech is transmitted over one common communication port – easy configuration of the
network components (use of NAT and firewalls)
