System overview
The following section gives a short overview of the basic features of a Gx-IAX card. On the subsequent
pages, the different features of the card are described in detail.

Calls in auto-dialler mode
The following example shows an outgoing call from the Intercom system:

NOTES: Auto-dialler mode
 The auto-dialler mode is used for transfer of calls, e.g. call requests or input messages (control desk
calls) to pre-defined call numbers within the VoIP network.
 If an IAX channel is configured as central control desk, initiated calls are stored in the Gx-IAX card
(
see also “Call queuing – IAX channel as central control desk” on page 21 ) and transferred in turn to
the VoIP phones.
 The functionality of the auto-dialler mode can also be used for “Audio streaming” .
