Programmable DC Power Supply 62000P Series Operating & Programming Manual
may arise, because the prior state of the 62012P DC Power Supply will affect the response of
a coupled parameter to its programming.
For example, assuming that the current was set to 20A and a new state is required to change
the voltage to 80V. It is necessary to change the current to below 15A. If the commands
VOLTage 80<PMT>
CURRent 15<PMT>
are sent, a data out of range error will occur. Such kind of error can be avoided by reversing
the order, or sending the commands in one program message. For the above example,
change the program message to
VOLTage 80 ; CURRent 15<PMT>
can be sent without error. The commands can be coupled as follows:
: VOLTage, : CURRent.
5.6
Commands of DC Power Supply
This section describes the syntax and parameters of all commands for DC Power Supply.
5.6.1
Common Command Syntax
Commands are defined by IEEE488.2 standard containing common and query commands.
Common commands begin with a “*” and consist of three letters and/or one “?” (query).
Common commands and queries are listed alphabetically.
*CLS
Clear
Status
Type:
Device status
Description:
*CLS command acts the follows:
Clear Error Code Reset Error Message. If “*CLS” is followed by <nl>,
the “output queue” and MAV bit will be clear as well.
Syntax:
*CLS
Parameter:
None
*ESE
Standard Event Status Enable
Type:
Device status
Description:
This command sets the condition of the Standard Event Status Enable
register, which determines which events of the Standard Event Status
Event register (see *ESR?) are allowed to set the ESB (Event Summary
Bit) of the Status Byte register. A "1"
in the bit position enables the
corresponding event. All of enable events of the Standard Event Status
Event register are
logically ORed to cause the ESB (bit 5) of the Status
Byte
register to be set.
