WARRANTY
The warranty is valid only if the installation of the appliance is
carried out by an authorized technician.
Damage due to the following causes will void the warranty:
Abnormal conditions of the installation:
• Internal unit positioned outside the house
• Internal unit positioned in a place subjected to bad weather
or in the presence of frost
• Appliance supplied with rainwater, water from wells or water
whose hardness is abnormal or not complying with current
regulations
• Installation in replacement of appliances that were defective
from the origin
In case of damages found on the appliance, the same shall be
sent to one of our Service Centers, following the contact with
our technical services.
The damages caused by improper installation, transport, pac-
kaging and positioning after the collection of the appliance
from the distributor will be borne by the installer.
The replacement of the components of the appliance shall
not be refunded, if it occurred in one of the following cases:
• Various damages caused by shock or electrical failures du-
ring handling of the product, after it leaves the establish-
ment of production
• Damages caused by a leakage of water from the internal unit
that can be avoided by an immediate repair of the product
by the user
• Damages caused by the application of overvoltage to the
system the warranty applies to the internal unit and external
unit only if both their hydraulic and electronic components
are intact.
The warranty does not apply in cases where the installation
is not conform to the regulations and standards in force as
well as state of the art and, more particularly, in the case of:
• The installation of the safety group is not correct
• The installation of the security group is not compliant to the
rules in force or when is used a damaged security group
• Changes made to the safety group during maintenance acti-
vities
• Abnormal corrosion of the hydraulic components due to
incorrect connections (direct contact iron-copper)
• Defective electrical connections or connections not com-
pliant to the installation, improper grounding, cable cross
section too low, non-compliance with the indicated electri-
cal connections scheme
• Damages due to the powering up of the system before the
hydraulic fi ll
The warranty does not apply in cases of damages due to an
insuffi cient maintenance, as:
• Abnormal corrosion of the heating bodies and safety groups
• Absence of maintenance of the safety group
• Metal frame subjected to the aggression of external agents
• Changes made to the original appliance without communi-
cations to the manufacturer or the use of non-original spare
parts
• Total absence of maintenance of the appliance

Characteristics of the water supplied to the appliance
Ensure that the system is supplied with water having a maxi-
mum hardness of 20 ° F.
For areas where the water is particularly hard, provide a water
softener does not change in any way the warranty, if the com-
ponent is installed in a proper manner and is subject to regular
checks and maintenance.
In particular, the hardness of the water supplied to the ap-
pliance, must never be less than 12 ° F.
In case of aggressive water fi lling (the pH should be kept
between 6.6 and 8.5), ferruginous or hard, use treated water
in order to prevent scaling, corrosion and damages to the ap-
pliance. Please note that even a small amount of impurities in
the water may decrease the performance of the installation.
The used fi lling water must absolutely be treated in case of
installation of large capacity (high volumes of water) or in case
of frequent replenishments of water in order to maintain a
constant level of liquid in the installation. Where it is necessary
to proceed with the cleaning of the installation, fi ll the entire
system with treated water.
Verify that the maximum pressure, at the level of the water
supply, does not exceed 5 bar. Otherwise, provide the instal-
lation with a pressure reducer valve.
The system is equipped with an automatic anti-freeze function
to prevent freezing in the pipes in low temperatures. In case of
power failure, the system is protected against freezing by the
Exogel kit (trip tempe 4°C), which mechanically drains
the circuits. If the Exogel kit is installed, the system does not
require the use of glycol.
We recommend not using glycol, since it compromises the
operation of the heat pump.
If you use glycol, Ariston Thermo is not liable for the system’s
reduced performance; make sure to use the correct amount of
glycol and maintain it appropriately.
