Spectrum analyzer (recommended model: 4033, 4036, etc.)
One N/BNC adapter
One RF cable (80cm)
c) Test steps
1) Connect the device as shown in the figure, start it, and warm it up for 30min.
2) Open the audio source window by pressing the [Audio] hard key or pressing the [Measurement]
hard key and setting the instrument menu. Set it as follows.
Output port: audio output
Output source: internal audio
Frequency of Audio Source 1: 1kHz
Amplitude of Audio Source 1: 0.5Vrms
ON/OFF status of Audio Source 1: ON
Frequency of Audio Source 2: 1.6kHz
Amplitude of Audio Source 2: 0.2Vrms
ON/OFF status of Audio Source 2: ON
3) Set the appropriate starting and stop frequency of the spectrum analyzer, read the frequency of
two audio signals, check whether the frequency of the dual-tone signal is correct, and record it in
Table A.12.
12. Accuracy of RF power measurement
a) Test items
The ordinary signal source and power amplifier are applied in the following steps to generate
high-power test signals. Then the attenuator and power meter are applied for comparison to verify
the power measurement characteristics of the instrument. Limited by the existing test conditions,
the frequency band of the amplifier is more than 800M. Therefore, only the power of 20dBm can
be measured at low frequency.
The RF power measurement port of the instrument is the T/R port, and the measurement accuracy
is

1dB.
In the test process, the power meter should be applied to calibrate the test cable, amplifier and
attenuator at first.
