Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) is Missing Storage folder 

If a unit has a power short or malfunctions enough times it can cause the Storage folder to 
get corrupted to a point it’s unrecoverable. 

 

•

 

Insert an SD card with the latest Operating System (you can load the operating 
system files to an SD card using the USB flash drive process on a working unit. See 
the next section). 

•

 

Power up the device while holding down the 

Sensor

 button 

•

 

When the System Setup Screen appears, press 

F1

 

•

 

Allow the Operating System to load and complete 

•

 

Push in the 

reset button

 on the side of the device while holding down the 

Sensor

 

button 

•

 

When the Menu screen appears, press 

F2 

to format the Storage folder 

•

 

Push in the 

reset button
