CarrierMate™ is Periodically Resetting

The CarrierMate™ needs a constant power of 12v and if the unit drops below it will cause the
unit to reset. It is not uncommon for the unit to reset on occasion during ignition events, if the
unit is resetting while the vehicle is in motion this is a sign of a power shortage or damaged
cable.

•

Inspect and reseat cable connectors.

•

Inspect for corrosion and bent, broken, pushed, slices or missing pins.

•

Check that the CarrierMate™ is receiving a constant 12v.

•

Test with a known good 6, 9 or 16-pin CANbus cable
