Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) is on a Windows Screen
If the Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) is stuck on a Windows screen, with icons along the left
side of the screen, a file has been corrupted which is preventing the CarrierMate
™ firmware
from loading. This can happen from a power short in the vehicle.
•
Tap the
My Device
icon in the top left corner to open it.
•
Make sure you see at least two folders, one called
Storage,
and a second called
Storage Card
. If not, see the No Storage folder section below.
•
Tap the
Storage
folder to open it.
•
Select
Edit
, and from the drop-down choose
Select All
to highlight all the files.
•
Select
File
and from the drop-down choose
Delete
.
•
Wait for the pop-up message and choose
Yes
,
and then tap
Yes to All
.
•
When the folder is empty, press the
Reset
button on the right side panel of the MDT.
