Primary Air Temperature sensor

Carrier Sensors

Installation Guide

Mounting location

Mount the sensor in the top or side of the supply duct.

Drill hole in top of duct

and let sensor hang down

Alternate location
inside of duct

Supply duct

To wire and mount the PAT sensor

Drill or punch a .5 inch (1.3 cm) hole in the duct.

Connect a .5 inch (1.3 cm) nominal field-supplied conduit between the zone controller enclosure and the

junction box.

Pass the sensor wires through the conduit.

Insert the sensor's probe into the hole.

Secure the sensor to the duct using the 2 mounting screws provided.

CAUTION

The tip of the sensor's 6-inch (15.2-cm) probe must not touch the inside of the duct.

Wire the sensor to the Open controller. See the controller's

for details.
