Warning :
- When using tools, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce risks of personal
injury.
Read all these instructions before attempting to operate this machine and save these instructions.
Failure to follow all instruction listed below may result in serious danger for the tool user and for the
person standing in the area of work
To work in environment with gas or explosive atmosphere, or close to flammable liquids always involve
very high risks. It is mandatory to evaluate all possible risk factors before begin every activity.
The following instructions list the minimum procedures that must be obligatorily followed, but that cannot
be exhaustive.
Further shrewdness necessary to guarantee the maximum of safety required must be studied every
time with the help of specialised personal
- Keep working area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite injuries..
- Keep children and bystander away while operating the tool. All visitors should be kept away from
working area. Distractions can cause you to loose control.
- Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a core drill. Do not
use a core drill while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications. A moment of
inattention while operating core drills may result in serious personal injury.
- Use safety equipments:- Always wear ear cup to make you safe from any dangerous noise. Wear
also protective clothing: safety helmet, goggles, dust mask, safety shoes and gloves.
- Always respect all the safety regulations valid in your Country.
- Give all the necessary instructions to the worker that has to utilize this machine.
- Don't use the unit for purposes not intended.
- Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the starting lever in OFF position before connecting the oil pipes.
- Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the core drill on. A wrench or a key left
attached to a rotating part may result in personal injury.
- Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all time. This enable better control of the
core drill in unexpected situations.
- Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away
from moving parts, Loose clothes, jewellery and long hair.
- Avoid the possibility that oil piping are invested by flames

1 - CONNECTION TO THE POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM
..........................................................................................................................................................………....................................……………..................................
Check that the hydraulic power unit has a pressure adjustment set for
max operating pressure 150bar
for HYDRO 1-25 and 180bar for HYDRO 1-50, HYDRO 1-80, HYDRO 1-100
Attention: This requirement of safety is of fundamental importance. If in doubt you must demand
an accurate control of the system by personal professionally characterized.
Familiarize yourself with the control of the motor, the ON-OFF lever. In ON position the lever is parallel
to the axis of the motor. Remember that when the oil is in pressure the movement of the lever require a
higher energy than without pressure.
If the hydraulic power unit is supplied by a electric line, be sure that in the electric circuit is available a
low voltage coil to avoid the automatic start after an unintentional stop.
The core drill head has 1/2 G coupling plug suitable to be used with hydraulic pipes. If your hydraulic
power unit has pipe with different plugs, you must contact the manufacturer or you local distributor.
The connection of pipes can be carried out only after you have checked that the lever of starting valve is
in OFF position.
In order to avoid dangerous jolts of pressure do never open the quick couplings if within the pipes there
is oil flow
Check that the flow of the power unit is lower that 40/min for the models with HIDRO 1-25 and HYDRO
1-50 and lower than 50l/min for model with HYDRO 1-80 and HYDRO 1-100.
The good operation and the duration of the motor depend on the type of used oil.
For this core drill do use high performance mineral hydraulic oil with additives against wear, type: HLP
(DIN 51524) or HM (ISO 6743/4). Before use another type of oil please do contact the manufacturer. An
oil with viscosity between 20 and 70cSt is suggested. The best performances are obtained with an oil
with a viscosity of 35cSt, at the temperature of operation.
Non flammable and biodegradable oil can be used, with a reduction of performances.
If you notice oil leakages from the core drill heads or from the hydraulic circuit do remove immediately
pressure from the hydraulic circuit and disconnect the core drill from the power unit. Contact the
manufacturer or specialized personnel.
Do maintain the contamination of the oil to an acceptable level to assure an operation without problems.
The level maximum recommended of contamination is 20/16 (you see ISO 4406). The request should
be satisfied with the use of a filter lower then 40m absolute or 25m nominal.
Before every new use, check that the pipelines and the connections are in good state of maintenance..
