Decalcifying the Espresso machine
Decalcifying the Espresso Machine
1. We recommend you to decalcify pressure container and steam nozzle
regularly to obtain optimal results over a long period of time. You should
decalcify the machine 1 - 6 times a year according to the level of water hard-
ness and the frequency of use.
2. First remove the brewing sieve from the brewing head by loosening the screw
and then remove all pollutions.
3. Remove the protection rubber from the steam nozzle (10).
4. Mix 250 ml of water with a citric-based standard decalcifier. Notice the
recommended mixing ratio and the instructions of the decalcifier.
5. Fill the mixture into the pressure container (4) and close it.
6. You must perform the decalcification without filter holder (11) and without
nozzle.
7. Turn on the steam check valve (9) completely.
8. Put an appropriate jar under the brewing head and steam tube.
9. Afterwards turn on the espresso machine.
10. After this procedure turn the machine off again and repeat the steps 4 to 10
after cooling down.
11. Afterwards repeat the procedure with clear water two times to flush away all
loosened lime scale residues.
12. Install the brewing sieve and push the protection rubber over the nozzle when
the machine has cooled down completely.
13. Make sure that all parts are fixed tightly. Then you can use the machine as
usual.
