Percolating Espresso
Percolating Espresso
1. Put the espresso filter (15) in the espresso filter holder (11).
2. Fill the filter with ground espresso. Please notice the marks in the filter for
2 and 4 cups.
3. Press the espresso slightly in the filter and remove unnecessary grounds from
the edge. Do not press the espresso too hard and fill the filter not exceeding
the marks for 2 or 4 cups. Otherwise the filter can be blocked and will over-
flow.
4. Put the filter holder in the machine by lifting it in the brewing head from below
and then pivoting it to the right until the maximum position. Notice the marks
on the filter holder and the machine.
5. Open the container cover (3) and remove the screw cap of the pressure
container (4) by turning it counter clockwise.
6. Fill the espresso carafe (13) with cold water up to the desired mark.
2 cups of espresso = mark 2
2 cups of es steam = between mark 2 + 4
4 cups of espresso = mark 4
4 cups of es steam = lower edge of steel tape
Fill the container with a maximum of 270 ml of water.
It is very important to fill the container only with the required amount of water.
7. Fill the water in the opening of the pressure container (4) and close the screw
cap clockwise as far as it will go.
8. Position the carafe with lid in the centre of the filter holder. If you want to brew
the espresso directly into two cups please use the provided adapter (16).
9. Make sure that the steam check valve (9) is shut so that no steam can leak
accidentally.
10. Now start brewing with switch (1). The indicator light shows that the machine
operates.
11. It will take about 2 minutes until the water starts to boil. As soon as enough
pressure has build up the brewing starts and fresh espresso drops out of the
filter.
12. Wait as long as no more espresso will drop out of the filter. After that, you can
switch off the machine with the switch (1).
