Percolating Coffee
Percolating Coffee
1. Pivot the filter holder (6) off the machine and position a coffee filter of size
1 x 4 in correct positional arrangement in the filter compartment. First fold the
edges of the coffee filter flat on the surface of the filter at the sidewise and
lower seam, so it can be adjusted optimally to the filter compartment.
2. Use the provided admeasurement for coffee (14) and put one levelled spoon
of ground coffee per cup in the filter. Of course, you can adapt the amount to
your personal gusto.
3. Pivot the filter holder (6) back in the machine until it snaps in audible. Please
take care that the coffee filter doesn't slip. Otherwise water may leak between
filter and filter compartment.
4. Fill the coffee carafe (7) with cold water up to the respective mark. The MAX
mark fits for 10 small cups. 8 cups = mark 8, 6 cups = mark 6 etc.
5. Open the container cover (3) and fill water from the carafe into the water
tank (5). By all means observe the MAX mark on carafe and water tank, oth-
erwise water could overflow. Afterwards close the container cover.
6. Position the carafe on the warming plate (8). Please make sure that the carafe
is in the centre of the warming plate on the indentation and the lid is on the
carafe, so that the drop protection on the filter holder will be able to work.
7. Now turn the machine on with the switch (2) to start brewing. The indicator
light shows you that the machine is in operation.
8. After brewing and dripping has stopped you can enjoy your fresh coffee.
9. As long as the machine is turned on and the indicator light flashes, the coffee
on the warming plate (8) will be kept on drinking temperature.
10. Turn the machine off and unplug it if you do not want to use the machine for a
longer period of time or if you want to clean it.
