Cleaning the Espresso machine
Cleaning the Espresso Machine
Loose and removable parts can be cleaned in normal dishwashing detergent.
Dry all parts thoroughly before you use them again.
There is a brewing sieve in the mounting of the machine in which the filter
holder (11) is locked. Clean it regularly and remove the espresso residues
with a moistened cloth. You only have to remove the brewing sieve for that.
Clean the nozzle after every use, otherwise it could be blocked. Burnt milk
residues are difficult to remove afterwards.
Remove the protection rubber of the steam nozzle (10) and clean the steam
tube with a damp cloth. Clean the rubber in water.
Dry all parts and install the protection rubber again in reverse order. Make
sure that all parts are tight and no part is loose.
Cleaning the Steam Pipe
It is necessary to clean the inside of the steam pipe in regular intervals to ensure
that it does not get clogged.
To clean the inside of the steam pipe, fill the water container with enough water
for one cup of espresso
(as described in the chapter “Percolating Espresso”) and
operate the steam nozzle without milk until it stops steaming. Switch off the steam
and rub the nozzle clean with a damp cloth immediately after this procedure.
Take care when doing this as it may still be very hot!
