Elevator Interface Board
NOTE : An elevator interface board is required for elevator control of more
than 16 floors.
Elevator control is available for 16, 32, 48, and 64 floor configurations. One
elevator interface board is required for each elevator cab with one reader port
available for use inside the elevator. Dry contacts are provided from the
elevator interface board to interface with the elevator manufacturer's system.
It is suggested that the elevator company supplies a relay interface for the
floor control. Our interface PCB would control the “relay coils” of the
elevator company’s relay PCB.
Note#1: Place diodes at the elevator interface PCB coils.
Note#2: The CP40 requires special firmware for the above configuration.
The second reader port “B” on the CP40 may only be used as a “lobby call-
down reader”. When used by a cardholder with time and access to at least
one floor, this will activate reader “B” lock output. The lock output can then
be used to initiate a call-down to the elevator manufacturer’s system.
