Setting Camera Control, Image Size and Quality (Camera and Video)
Camera Names

“Camera Name”
Used in the camera selection box on the viewers (
→
P.1-4). This setting is required.

“Home Position”
This is the specified camera settings. When this is specified, the camera settings return to the
specified settings if there is no request for control privileges.
“Zoom”
Sets the value for the camera’s angle of zoom.
“Brightness”
Sets the target value for the camera’s auto exposure feature. Select “Brighter” if the picture
is too dark due to backlight or other factors.
“Return to Home Position when nobody has a control privilege”
The camera is returned to the specified settings if there is no request for control privileges.

“Apply View Restriction”
If you check the “Apply View Restriction” option, the settings below are enabled. Use this
setting to prevent clients from seeing certain camera zoom positions.

“Telephoto, Wide-angle”
Sets the zoom angles provided to users. (Specify settings so that the telephoto setting is
less than or equal to the wide-angle setting.)

“Wide Converter”
When you have attached a wide converter to the camera, be sure to select “Used”.

Subjects Not Suitable for Auto Focus
The camera may have difficulty focusing automatically on subjects shown below.
• Highly reflective subjects such as glasses or light-reflecting goods
• Insubstantial subjects such as flames or smoke
• Subjects seen through glass such as scenery through the window
• Subjects with little or no contrast such as a white wall
• Angled subjects such as a door opened halfway
• Subjects with oblique lines or horizontally striped lines all over the surface, such as a window shade

Focusing Range
At some zoom settings, the camera may not be able to focus on subjects.
• Wide-end of Zoom:
Down to approx. 1 cm (0.39 in.)/With Night Mode, down to approx. 2 cm (0.79 in.)
• Tele-end of Zoom:
Up to approx. 1.6 m (63.0 in.)/With Night Mode, up to approx. 2.3 m (90.55 in.)
