Restoring the Factory Default Settings

Do not turn the VB-C50Fi power off while the Restoring operation. If you turn the
power off, all settings of the unit restore to the factory default settings.

If you click the “OK” button at this point, it will not possible to abort the process to
restore the default settings. Click the “Cancel” button if you do not wish to restore
the default settings.
4. The VB-C50Fi’s factory default settings are restored.
Settings other than the Administrator password, or network-related settings such as the VB-
C50Fi’s IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway address are returned to factory default
settings.

If the Reset switch is pressed and all factory default settings are restored, the VB-C50Fi’s
network-related settings such as IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway
address are all also returned to the factory default settings, making it impossible to
operate the VB-C50Fi from a PC connected to it. Use “VBSetup.exe” on the supplied
CD-ROM to set an IP address appropriate to the environment you will be using

P.2-7).
Restoring the Factory Default Settings from the Reset Switch
If the VB-C50Fi’s IP address or administration password are not known or have been forgotten,
the VB-C50Fi cannot be operated over a network. In this case, press the Reset switch at the rear
of the unit.
1. Turn off the VB-C50Fi.
See page 2-6 “Turning the Power ON and OFF” for procedures on how to turn OFF and ON
the VB-C50Fi’s power switch.
2. While pressing the Reset switch, turn on the power and keep the Reset switch
pressed from more than 5 seconds.
The Reset switch is located toward the rear on the bottom. Use a thin tipped object such as
the end of a paper clip to press the Reset switch.
All settings in the VB-C50Fi will be returned to the factory default settings.
