Maintenance

Chapter 12

Clean the shaded area of the operation
panel.

• Dirt and dust particles that collect on the

underside of the operation panel affect the
quality of the documents you copy or send.

Use a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth
to wipe up paper dust from the areas
(shaded) surrounding the separation
roller.

When you are finished, close the
operation panel by pressing it down from
the centre.

• Be sure to close the operation panel until it

locks into place, or the unit will not function
properly.

Close the document tray.*

Reconnect the power cord.

Cleaning the Rollers

You may need to clean the unit’s rollers after using a package of high resolution paper.
This process removes paper dust from the unit’s rollers, preventing paper feed
problems. For details,
