Is resolution set to Light?

Set resolution to Dark by pressing the resolution key.

Is image setting set to Text/Photo?

Set image setting to Text by pressing the image key.

Is the platen glass clean?

Make a copy of the document and check for dirty spots.
If copy is dirty, clean the platen glass.

Does the receiving machine have a box in
memory for subaddress transmissions?

Check the recipient's subaddress box settings, and try
again. Or if the recipient is an iR3250, check the for-
warding conditions in the forwarding settings.

Does the receiving machine support ITU-T
standard communication functions?

Verify with the recipient, then try again.

Are the receiving machine’s subaddress and
password set correctly?

Confirm that the receiving machine’s subaddress and
password are correctly set.

Are the subaddress and password registered
for speed dialing or one-touch dialing correct?

Verify the subaddress and password are registered for
speed dialing or one-touch dialing.

Is the receiving machine’s memory full?

Verify with the recipient.

Reconnect the phone line again.

Does the cartridge have enough toner?

Slowly remove the cartridge and rock gently 5 to 6
times. Reinstall the cartridge. If this does not solve the
problem, replace the cartridge.

Is the platen glass of the receiving machine
dirty?

If your machine can copy cleanly, the problem is with
the receiving machine. Ask the recipient to have the
recipient’s machine cleaned, then try again.
