Solution

Is the phone line type setting correct?

Verify the type of phone line to which the machine is
connected.

Is original set correctly?

Reset original and try again.

Is the phone number stored in the one-touch
button or the address book correct?

Try again. Confirm the phone number stored in the one-
touch button or the address book.

Is the receiving machine out of paper?

Ask recipient to add paper.

Is the recipient line is busy?

Use busy line detector.

Verify

Solution

Is the resolution set to 200 x 400 dpi or 400 x
400 dpi? Is image setting set to Text/Photo?

If original does not contain fine text or pictures, set reso-
lution to standard and image setting to text.

Are unnecessary documents being stored in
memory?

Print incoming documents to remove them from memory,
or repeat the procedure after documents scheduled for
sending have been sent.

Is the recipient's paper size smaller than the
size of the original being sent?

The machine automatically reduces the size to fit the
recipient's paper size when the recipient's paper size is
too small.
