Enter a Receive Password using the keypad.
Setting a Receive Password
You can set up an ITU-T standard receive
password. When another party sends a
document under ITU-T standards including a
subaddress setting, the user is asked to enter
the receive password. If this does not match the
receive password set up in this function, or if no
receive password has been set up, the
document cannot be received.
[Space]:
Press to leave a space between
the passwords.
[Backspace]: Press to correct any errors when
entering the password. The
Backspace key erases one letter
in front of the cursor each time it is
pressed.
NOTE
• ITU-T: A part of the International Telecommuni-
cations Union that acts to set communications
standards.
• Receiving passwords can have maximum of 20
digits.
• Press the
key to delete the entire entry.
• Input may include the digits 0 to 9, as well as
,
#, and spaces.

Turn Memory Lock to [On] or [Off], then
press the [OK] key.
●
If [On] is selected
Stores documents received by fax in the
Memory RX box without being printed.
●
If [Off] is selected
Prints documents received by fax; does not
store them in the Memory RX box.

Press the [Done] key.
Repeat until the Additional Functions screen closes.
