E - USE

LIGHTING THE BURNER

Piezo ignition (Fig. 6)

1.  Turn the control knob (Fig. 6-A) counter-clockwise

(towards “   ”) so that it is completely open, then push

immediately on the control knob (Fig. 6-B) until you hear

a click.

2.  Repeat pushing 3 or 4 times if necessary until the burner

is lit (check flame through the window on the front of the

reservoir (Fig. 7-C)).

3.  If the burner fails to light, turn the control knob clockwise

to the off position (O) until it stops. Wait 5 minutes before

repeating the operation.

4.  If the burner fails to light after the 2nd attempt, you

may

A.

proceed to Match Ignition at below section, or

B.

read troubleshooting instructions in section § G.

Match Ignition (Fig. 7):

1.  Turn the control knob (Fig. 7-A) counter-clockwise

(towards “   ”) so that it is completely open.

2.  Put a lit match (Fig. 7-B) near the burner through slots

on the cooking plate (if cooking plate is placed over the

burner).

COOKING

Using the appliance as a grill

1.

Make sure that reservoir is filled with water to the “MAXI”

level and the pan support & cooking plate is installed as

described in section § D.

2.  Pre-heat the cooking plate for one minute at maximum in

order to reach the ideal temperature for cooking.

The cooking plate is covered with a high quality non-sticking

material which ensures healthy cuisine without adding fat

or oil.
Fatty substances are collected in the water reservoir, your

meal is perfectly healthy (no residual or carbonised fats),

your ingredients retain all their savor.
The cooking plate attains maximum temperature after

about one minute of pre-heating (the ideal temperature for

barbecuing).
Place your ingredients on the plate and adjust the

temperature with the control knob according to your tastes.
It is also possible to adjust the speed of cooking according

to where the ingredients are placed on the cooking plate:

maximum in the center, less intense towards the edge.
A bluish discolouration of the cooking plate is due to the

strong heat development. This is without any impact on the

quality of the used material.

Using the appliance as a stove
IMPORTANT

: Cooking plate must be taken away when

using the appliance as a stove. Never place cooking

vessels on the cooking plate.
Place a cooking vessel (pan, wok etc.) on the pan support,

centered over the burner. Ensure that the flame does not

exceed the underside of the cooking vessel.

SHUTTING DOWN

Turn the control knob clockwise to the off position (O) until

it stops.

F - REMOVING THE CARTRIDGE

The cartridge can be removed even if not empty.
1.  Turn the control knob clockwise to the off position (O)

until it stops.

2.  Wait for the appliance to cool down.
3.  Holding the appliance, unscrew the gas cartridge

by turning it counter-clockwise until you hear a click

(approximately one-sixth of a turn), then remove it.

4.  Never throw away a cartridge which is not completely

empty. Check that there is no liquid in the cartridge by

shaking it.

G - MAINTENANCE, STORAGE AND

TROUBLESHOOTING

Troubleshooting

In case of burn back (ignition under the burner cap) switch

the  product  off,  allow  it  to  cool  down  (approximately  five

minutes), then re-ignite the appliance. If the problem of

burn back persists, please contact your local Campingaz®

representative.

Maintenance & Storage

1.  Once the unit is cold (approximately 15 minutes) remove

the cooking plate and pan support.

2.  Unlock the reservoir from base by turning it counter-

clockwise and lift. Empty the water.

3.  Unscrew legs from base.
4.  Clean the greasy parts with soapy water or a non-

abrasive detergent (do not use a scouring agent on the

cooking plate or the water reservoir).

5.  To simplify cleaning, the lid, the cooking plate, reservoir,

pan support, can be washed in a dishwasher. The legs

can be cleaned with a sponge (no washing powder)

6.  Assemble the pieces of the unit and close the lid.
7.  Legs could be placed in the reservoir for compact

transportation size (Fig 1).

8.  The unit should be stored in a safe, secure, and dry

place, out of the reach of children and never in a cellar.

9.  If the appliance will not be used for a long period of time,

disconnect the cartridge as indicated in section § F.
