Malfunctions and Repairs
10.1 Explanation of terms
10.1.1 Malfunction
A
malfunction
is a abnormal condition of the system and should be corrected as quickly as possible. The
operator of the system must ensure that the malfunctions are corrected.
10.1.2 Repairs
Repairs
are the restoration of the correct condition of the system. The operator must ensure that the
malfunctions are corrected or repairs are made.
10.2 Objective
The objective of this chapter is to instruct the responsible qualified personnel to search for malfunctions and
restore the proper condition of the system.
Notifications of malfunctions should first make the system user aware that the system is not functioning
properly.
The responsible user must ensure that the proper functioning of the system is restored as quickly as possible.
They must ensure:
that the cause of the malfunction is detected and assessed
that the malfunctions are corrected by competent personnel.
For electrically operated doors, note the attached control unit function description.
10.3 Malfunctions and remedies (sliding door)
The following malfunctions can be corrected by trained operating personnel:
Dirt on the ground
Obstacles
All other malfunctions
must be handled by authorised service personnel.
