the door construction shows damage, e.g. damaged door elements or guide rails,
the usual functionality is disrupted, e.g. from diagonal door elements or in the guide rails
the maintenance intervals are exceeded,
the expected useful life has been reached (age of the door system, number of times door opened).
an unusually large quantity of dust has entered into the door's mechanical parts,
the door system is exposed to corrosive gases or liquids, e.g. in areas of sewage treatment plants
or chemical production facilities,
the tracks of the door parts or the fall arrestors have scratches or rough areas,
the tracks are misshapen,
metallic abrasion is visible at the base of the guiderails (also see the operating manual for the anti-fall
protection),
unusual operating noises can be heard in the system, e.g. metallic banging, scratching or
grinding noises.
9.2.3 Testing by a qualified individual
Have the following components tested by a qualified individual:
Functioning of consumable parts (authorised qualified personnel have additional information in
the service and maintenance manual).
Function of mechanical protective devices, e.g. proper assembly of the cover plates.
Function of support bolts, chain guides, etc.
If present: Function of additional control unit component (e.g. other photo eyes, contact loops, etc.)
Checking connections to the building in accordance with DGUV 208-022 appendix 3
Check whether the required warning signs are attached to the door system.
Keep evidence of these tests in the form of a test book.
9.2.4 Inspection and maintenance plan for consumable parts for SECTIOLITE
®
doors
For the following listed components, to the extent that nothing is otherwise noted in the table below, a useful
life of
100,000
cycles applies, which corresponds to ten years in a normal industrial environment (C3 - EN ISO
12944) and normal climate (23°C, 50H).
Note!
For the SECTIOLITE doors with FU control, please note:
that the monitoring relays must be checked after any change to the control unit technology that
requires access to parameters (password level).
that the result of this test must be recorded in the test book.
