Drive system for guide rails following the roof and vertical rails
The drive system is located at the upper end of the guide rails between the door consoles and, therefore,
does not require much space on the side. The lateral drive system is located directly on the drive shaft
(direct drive system).
5.5.3 Emergency operation
In emergency situations (e.g. in the event of a power outage), the door may be opened by hand with the hand
chain.
The emergency operation may only take place pursuant to the information in chapter 7.5 Emergency operation
and while adhering to the safety notices and warnings in chapter 2 Safety and in chapter 3 Other dangers.

Safety devices ST40
The door systems are equipped with safety devices, which are described below, e.g.:
Optoelectronic sensitive edge
Signal-leading photo eye (for ST40T with a door for people)
Light curtain (optional)
etc.
5.6.1 Optoelectronic sensitive edge
The door has a safety edge so that the presence of a person or object is detected while closing the door while
applying the automatic stopping principle (by touching).

Design
A transmitter and a receiver are in the rubber profile.
Placement
At the primary closing edge of the lower door panel (in the hollow rubber profile)
Operation
Triggered when force is applied to the rubber profile
Function
When an obstacle is run into, the rubber profile disforms, which interrupts the light beam
of the sensitive edge.
Result
The door movement is stopped and the door reverses direction.
